Teej is a Hindu festival celebrated mainly by women. Every year, Geelong Nepalese association celebrates Teej festival to preserve culture and customs of Nepalese women.
The festival, include dancing, singing, getting together with friends and telling stories, dressing up with henna-coloured hands and feet, wearing red, and green clothes, sharing festive foods.
The event is funded by City of Greater Geelong. Entry for members of Geelong Nepalese Association is free whereas fee for non members Adult is $20 and Kid is $10.
